For over two decades, MarketWatch built its reputation on a founding principle: financial information belongs to everyone. But democratizing data is no longer a differentiator. In a landscape of finfluencers and TikTok as a go-to for finance advice, the real question became — who do you actually trust?

The answer required more than a campaign. In partnership with Mother and Mother Design, we rebuilt MarketWatch from the inside out, shedding a dated, underperforming aesthetic for something big, bold, and unapologetic, and carrying twenty-five years of editorial credibility into a new era.

Don't Short Yourself leaned into provocation by way of cautionary headlines and animated candy-pop illustrations, challenging viewers to reframe their relationship with money — because the cost of financial ignorance is your own future.
