I lead organizations from ambition to future state—defining distinctive creative vision and guiding teams to build resonant brands at scale. Nice to see you.

Selected work from 20 years of shaping brands, narrative strategy, campaigns, visual identity and design systems for cultural orgs and corporations.

PORTFOLIO

I am a design-forward creative leader dedicated to cultivating conversation, shared vision, and rigorous practice. I lead teams in building the foundations and expressions that shape brands.
I help people see what others don’t.

CREATIVE LEADERSHIP
INFO

Currently Brand Creative Director for The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones. I lead a team of brand creatives, UX designers and copywriters, alongside agency partnerships.

In three years I've built the company's first centralized creative function — from five people to twenty-five — extending Brand's reach and influence across every part of the business.

I founded and ran EA Projects from 2008–2023, a design practice rooted in cultural production.

The studio partnered with clients including Princeton Architectural Press, Yale University, the Environmental Defense Fund, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Audi, Urban Outfitters, Clinique, and others. Working across creative and editorial direction, we designed highly crafted brands, books, exhibition catalogues, visual identities, and digital experiences.

WORKSHOPS

WWTAWWTAL:
What We Talk About When We Talk About Looking*
Or Language.
Or Learning.
Or Listening.
— is an ongoing workshop format.

WWTAWWTAL workshops guide teams, stakeholders, executives and clients to articulate vision, develop strategy, navigate challenges, and imagine what’s possible.

Despite an emphasis on the more visual aspects within our discipline, I’ve observed that creative function and dysfunction are often rooted in language, subjectivity, and the absence of practice. By learning to use our voices both individually and collectively, we are better able to share and respond to ideas.

Elevating creative and design literacy sit at the heart of WWTAWWTAL. Actively participating in building a common language helps us connect, understand other perspectives, and collectively define problems worth solving.

I have designed and facilitated sessions for the last decade for organizations and schools, including Columbia University, The School of Visual Arts, The Wall Street Journal, Environmental Defense Fund, and for various clients in art and architecture.

*The name WWTAWWTAL is inspired in Haruki Murakami’s book What I Talk About When I Talk About Running — basically a meditation on noticing.
